|SERVICE DIAGNOSTICS 2 / MANUFACTURING ENGINEER|
The Manufacturing Engineer / Service Diagnostics Specialist has two primary focuses: By taking a hands-on approach to trouble shooting mechanical and electrical faults with Haas machines, he will create written diagnostic procedures and flow charts for
step-by-step diagnostic guides used to evaluate and trouble shoot machine faults. He will also create written step-by-step procedures for testing suspected faults and complimentary written procedures for service repair remove and replace processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Troubleshoots machine faults, both mechanical and electrical in nature, as assigned.
Develops and documents written trouble shooting and diagnostic procedures for any product or system based first on information from experienced field Service Technicians; secondly from hands-on testing, and additionally from information gained from the Electrical, Mechanical or other departments.
Develops, documents and writes basic troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures for any product or system in Haas machines.
Develops and documents flow charts for diagnostic procedures.
Writes basic test procedures for trouble shooting faults.
Has an advanced understanding of the programming and operation of all Haas products.
Has an advanced understanding of all mechanical and electrical systems in Haas products.
Meets aggressive task deadlines.
Prioritize projects based on available information.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum two years at a technical school, BS in Engineering preferred.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations in English. Ability to write technical reports, and procedure manuals and create instructional reference material.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret charts and graphs. Ability to comprehend and apply concepts relating to geometrical dimensional tolerances. Ability to convert constants and values between differing units of measure.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
